If you like it cool, you'll also like CARINTHIA. They always have more and better jackets to face all the temperatures that make you shiver. And the G-LOFT® ISG Jacket Multicam is a special example, because their stuff just keeps getting prettier. So: not only the high functionality of tactical clothing, but also the fine shape of outdoor gear that you enjoy wearing and proudly displaying. CARINTHIA continues to climb steadily in the brand sky.
The G-LOFT® ISG Jacket Multicam is above all one thing: Multicam. Quite unmistakable. You can wear it in everyday life, but you'll stand out. According to CARINTHIA, this jacket is made for a temperature range of 10 degrees. That's always a bit subjective, just like your feeling of cold. We can go deeper with it and a T-shirt underneath. Even more so with a sweater.
Here are the features promised by the manufacturer:
Now let's address the collar of the jacket. There it is, high and with an attached hood.
The collar shape is always important, as it closes the jacket up top. Thermofleece makes everything cozy and pleasantly dense.
The hood is zippered. You can essentially remove it in a half-circle if you prefer.
And on the ends, there are also snaps and cords to keep the practical headgear in shape.
We are big fans of hoods in bad weather. But we also enjoy when we don't need them. Taking them off and wearing the jacket free is great and looks casual.
But what's cool is that you can completely do without the hood and simply wear the ISG with a stand-up collar. By the way, we have a mouth-nose mask in Multicam Black for this occasion. For stylish wearers, you can get it HERE in our SPARTANAT Shop.
There it is in hand. The hood also has a cord with a stopper at the back to wear it snugly on the head when it's mounted and on the jacket.
This is the zip and assembly for the hood. By the way, you can also store it differently, in the collar. It is then rolled up and simply inserted. Practical, but makes for a thick neck. You have to like that...
At the back of the neck you can also see a pretty "C" so you can publicly proclaim your loyalty to CARINTHIA. Of course...
This is how the chic hood looks when worn and the CARINTHIA G-LOFT® ISG Jacket Multicam in a side view.
Looking at the shoulder, here the three basic materials in Multicam come together. Top center Cordura, which is particularly abrasion-resistant at the stress points. On the right, the windproof, thin RipStop fabric that conceals the warming G-LOFT. On the left, the stretchy fabric from which the sleeves are made.
There are matching Multicam Velcro areas on the sleeves. The jacket comes with two patches: G-LOFT and on the other side of course CARINTHIA.
Even the zipper pull has the logo of the Carinthians. And a nice garage where the zipper pull can be hidden.
The upper arm pocket is lined with fine fleece on the inside.
At the end of the sleeves there are fine cuffs that prevent the wind from getting in. When wearing them, you don't see them at all - see front - you have to pull them out to recognize them. A bit like a tracksuit, that's good. If we wear a T-shirt under the jacket, the sleeves don't feel quite as windproof as CARINTHIA believes.
The jacket is from CARINTHIA. Have we said that before? On the left shoulder at the front there is a logo with lettering. Do good and talk about it...
Here you can see what the Carinthians actually sell. In the chambers is G-LOFT, a fiber that can be packed into all kinds of cold gear, from sleeping bags to jackets, and in different variations. Here we are rather thin on the go, as the manufacturer suggests plus 10 degrees. No challenge for G-LOFT.
Here you can clearly see the RipStop that protects the windproof fabric from tears.
Zippers are of course from the quality manufacturer YKK, the bar behind prevents drafts and it is also nicely finished. That's the attention to detail we like.
On the side, the jacket has two zippers. The front one is the vertical belly pocket. The rear one is the air conditioning system to adjust the jacket to the outside temperature while wearing it. It's nice that it has it, although we're not quite sure if it was really necessary. The bottom of the air zipper ends ten centimeters above the final hem. It is therefore not intended to wear a holster with a jacket on the hip here.
CARINTHIA wants to make you soft, the pockets on the abdomen are lined with cuddly fleece.
The jacket is very generous on the inside overall, which also makes it particularly comfortable to wear – an escalation compared to the great, minimalist TLG by Carinthia, which we have reviewed HERE on SPARTANAT.
This is the left side of the jacket inside.
With a zippered chest pocket and a CARINTHIA logo. Now we already know it...
And a super practical, open compartment in the lower area, where you can quickly stash something, like your smartphone, and have it readily available.
Two types of fleece and the zipper of the air conditioning, below the waist adjustment.
The other side looks the same.
The waist adjustment is also easily accessible from the outside and can be operated well with one hand with skill.
We are always particularly interested in this: how long is the jacket? This one goes down to the middle of the buttocks.
The acid test: squat down and then wait to see if you feel a cold draft. No, that is not the case. The length is good and wears very comfortably.
Even a back can delight, no wonder with so much Multicam. For those who don't like that, the ISG comes in 2.0 in Black, Olive, Blue. And also in a "porn-style" Multicam Black.
CONCLUSION: The G-LOFT® ISG Jacket Multicam is a wonderful jacket for daily use, as chic as it is warm. Made with superb quality and ideal for daily use when it gets really cold outside. CARINTHIA at its best ...
The CARINTHIA G-LOFT® ISG Jacket Multicam is available directly from CARINTHIA or from all retailers carrying the Carinthian quality manufacturer, for 259 euros.
