Camo Skins by SIGHTMARK

Are you tired of the black finish on your SIGHTMARK optics? That's no longer necessary, because as of today, the " Camo Skins" are available for selected optics. We were able to inspect them in advance and want to tell you about them.

What are " Camo Skins"? They are custom-fit, laser-cut stickers for your optics. They are made of 500D Cordura and have a strong adhesive layer, similar to mounting tape, on the back.

The Cordura comes in a total of six different colors or camouflage patterns, and there may be more in the future. So far, there are: Multicam, Multicam Black, Flecktarn, Ranger Green, Coyote, and Orange.

We received the matching Camo Skins for the SIGHTMARK R-SPEC - HERE in our review - and for the SIGHTMARK T-3 Magnifier. Let's start with the Magnifier.

Magnifier

There is an instructional video from SIGHTMARK on how to proceed.

We follow the instructions and start at the top of the Magnifier with the appropriate Camo Skin in Multicam.

The protective paper on the back is slightly cut, so it can be peeled off in sections and you don't end up sticking to the Camo Skins the whole time. Very well thought out. Applying it is simple and quick.

After the middle, you continue to work your way forward and before you know it, the main body is covered with the perfectly fitted Camo Skins.

Quickly attach the two adhesive pads for the mounting ring …

... and for the mounting plate, then you're basically done. In total, it takes less than five minutes to attach the Camo Skins to the magnifier.

The finished result looks great.

Red Dot

After this success, we move on to the Camo Skin for the R-Spec Red Dot. First, unscrew the battery compartment.

And then we start with the housing on the side where the control buttons are located.

Applying the Camo Skins goes smoothly and simply, only at the rear end you need to be a bit more accurate. Here, it was necessary to peel off the adhesive film once or twice and straighten it out a bit. Camo Skins can indeed be removed as well. We will test this more thoroughly in another article.

Looks pretty good, we are satisfied.

Finally, attach the sticker to the front and you're done. Again, we were busy for less than five minutes.

The finished result looks great.

CONCLUSION

The Camo Skins from SIGHTMARK are a nice idea to add some color to your life. The processing of the laser-cut Cordura stickers is impeccable and the fit is very good. Applying them is almost child's play. With the Camo Skins, your optics are not only camouflaged, even in the IR spectrum, but also protected from scratches.
