With a sniper or precision rifle, the rule of thumb is that the optics should cost half of the rifle. However, if you've already spent a fortune on the weapon and your budget is almost depleted, that's where Burris comes in with high-quality optics in the mid-price range, such as the XTR II 5-25×50 – reviewed here at SPARTANAT.

The XTR II 5-25×50 is a full-fledged precision riflescope in the higher price range, meaning it offers a comparable range of features and optical quality to brands like Schmidt & Bender, Steiner, and Kahles.

The main tube of the riflescope has a diameter of 34mm. With a total length of 414mm and a weight of 910 grams, it may be too bulky for an AR15 – although we didn't have another weapon available for testing at the time. A scope like this pairs best with a Spuhr ISMS mount, reviewed HERE.

The turrets for elevation and windage adjustments have a clear and precise scale. Above the scale, there is a textured area that allows for easy adjustment even when wearing gloves. The turrets feature a Zero-Click-Stop function for easy return to zero. The elevation adjustment range is 90 MOA, and the windage adjustment range is 55 MOA.
