REVIEW: Blade-Tech Glock training barrel

03/03/2018By Redaktion

Training with the Glock is an important thing. And not always should there be ammunition in the device. With the training barrel, you can easily exclude the danger of handling the weapon for training purposes.

No, that's not Lego in the barrel. That's just the visible end of the training barrel. You can see it, and so can the person in front of you. And that's a good thing.

Comparison: Real vs. training barrel. The bottom is replaced by the top, making the weapon functional but completely harmless.

Simply insert it into the slide, add the recoil spring, and you're ready to have fun.

It can also be seen at the ejection port that everything is completely safe.

And that's how the training part comes into play.

CONCLUSION: Super practical and an ideal training addition for the firearm at a low price. Oliver Falk from VTAC has nicely summarized the advantages:

1. The Blade-Tech training barrel maintains the handling characteristics of the original weapon without the risk of an accidental discharge. The shooter can use his own familiar pistol and at the same time signals with the yellow safety color of the training barrel that his pistol has lost its weapon properties.

2. The Blade-Tech training barrel retains the function of the slide and the magazine well, allowing malfunction drills (Tap-Rack) and loading activities to be simulated.

3. The Blade-Tech training barrel allows the shooter to use his familiar sights and thus create his accustomed sight picture.

4. The Blade-Tech training barrel retains the full function of the trigger and allows for completely safe dry fire training.

5. The Blade-Tech training barrel is therefore ideal for training and education in disarmament techniques, weapon safety, and CQB tactical training.

The Blade-Tech training barrel is available for common Glock pistols and for the two SIG models P220 and P226. HERE at VTAC Germany it costs 13.95 euros.
