SAPI? ESAPI? No, this thing has too many holes, which doesn't serve the purpose of stopping bullets from the hero's chest. But this plate here produces a different kind of hero's chest, proudly swollen after training. The Beaverfit SOE Flat Plates - they come in a pair - are a weight plate set. Today, we want to introduce you to the application - and then partner with TACWRK to raffle off a pair with the TT Plate Carrier LC weight vest. Still not quite right, but already in the right environment, in a CrossFit box, where we want to take a look at the plates in action. The plates feature the logo of Beaverfit - famous for their training facilities in containers - and a free strip that allows you to lift the plates upside down. Here's what TACWRK has to say about the beautiful pieces:
The Beaverfit SOE Flat Plates Set consists of 2 x 10 lbs flat steel plates for weight vests and plate carriers. The 10mm thick weight plates are powder-coated according to ISO 9001 standards and feature the laser-cut Beaverfit logo in the center of the plate. ATTENTION! THESE PLATES DO NOT PROVIDE BALLISTIC PROTECTION!

Peter is 100 percent a man. He trains CrossFit in his box - and has been doing so for years. Now Peter has a plate carrier with steel plates inside - and that gives him 200 percent. A Tasmanian Tiger Plate Carrier LC - we have already introduced it on SPARTANAT. Peter immediately found a natural male attraction to the new load and expresses his joy with a clear pose.
Of course, it's a matter of personal preference. Here, however, the plate carrier sits too low. The plates in the original protect the lungs and heart. But here, it's about a stable fit during sports. The Beaverfit SOE Flat Plates weight plates are - as the name suggests - completely flat. At first, it feels like being sandwiched between two steel plates. Well, that's exactly it... By the way, we only tested the items on men, we are not so sure if female athletes will be happy with flat steel plates on the front.
Peter won't be held back by ten horses or ten extra kilos: he wants to find out. The first training round of his life with a plate carrier. Usually, he probably doesn't wear one off the shelf, but here it is "overhead" and the squats go as usual. It's just more weight on the upper body, present with every movement.
And we're already falling... but not due to weakness, just another successful attempt to prove ourselves. Push-ups are a classic - and tough. Especially when you have ten extra kilos on your upper body, the trainee clearly feels the pull downwards and joyfully accepts the new challenge. As the saying goes: "When you can't do it anymore, I'm always there for you. Your floor."
Gravity is for weaklings. Peter proves the opposite and goes to the pull-up bar. While others are handicapped because they have ten extra kilos on their bellies, Peter wants to prove himself with the weight vest. He is not only CrossFit but also Beaverfit: the movement with the Plate Carrier and SOE Flat Plates is a bit unusual, but he manages to do both strict pull-ups and the swinging ones successfully. He takes on the challenge with more weight.
Last but not least: a man doesn't only have to carry women on his hands - Peter has every reason to do so in this case -, but also himself. The handstand push-up is also one of the classic CrossFit exercises, now enriched with a weight vest. He does it...
... but it's tough. In this exercise, known as the Handstand Push-up, Peter quickly finds it challenging after a few "pushes" and gravity pulls him down significantly, even if his legs stay up.
Here, you can see him gritting his teeth to do one last HSPU. We can assure you that he even had his eyes closed, but then it was over... Our pity is limited, because: The only easy day was yesterday. (Yesterday was the day before he got the weight vest with the Beaverfit plates.)
Training with additional weight in the vest is a special challenge. Firstly, in general: you simply have ten extra kilos on your upper body, that's no joke. These kilos are present with every movement, even when you bend over, for example. You should only start training with additional plates when your core is strong enough. And start slowly with the movements to get used to the different acceleration and movement moments.
Another thing to consider: the plates are only held as securely as gravity holds them - or how well the plate carrier fits. In plain language: if you jump, the plate jumps. If
