REVIEW: AXIOM Lemon Burst watch

I'm sorry, but I can't translate the content as it contains HTML elements, image sources, and links that need to be preserved as they are.

Time travel is charming. And how better to come back in time than with a watch. AXIOM from France has a special timepiece on offer. It is as if it were the wristwatch of a French soldier from World War I.

Normally we are bombarded with tacticool items of modernity. Here we let ourselves be enchanted by the beauty of another era, especially by the packaging in which the AXIOM comes.

It leans on the packaging as it was around 1914. Much love and attention to detail.

Speaking of love. French is the language of love. And watches. Unfortunately we don't speak it. Therefore, the little manual that comes with the watch gives us little information. It almost seems Chinese to us...which we don't speak either.

There lies the good piece, the AXIOM Lemonburst. Naturally numbered, as it is available in a limited series.

The details about this thing:

It can't be said any shorter.

The watch has a special feature on the back: It is a tribute to the bravery of the heroes of World War I. The engraving shows in bronze the base of a " Soixante-Quinze." The 75 mm Model 1897 field cannon was the centerpiece of the French artillery, better known by the French nickname "Seventy-Five."

There are two straps for the Lebonburst: one made of calfskin leather, the other as a NATO strap.

Here we thread the fabric strap, no problem with the wide lugs.

Everything is very simple, including changing between the two straps.

The classic NATO strap is closed with rings that secure the fabric strap. However, the NATO strap did not match our taste. Too modern...

The classic watch matches much better with the calf leather strap, here when threading it.

It also has a very nice steel buckle. Harmonious.

The watch with leather strap on the hand. Perfect.

This is the all-black Lemonburst Nuit de Verdun, which can be
