Flashlight is flashlight is flashlight. They say. So little impresses us easily. The Armytek Wizard Pro V2, which is available in Germany at CAMOSTORE, impressed us because we have hardly ever held something so small and powerful in our hands. Click click, that also sheds a proper light on us from SPARTANAT ...
Here's what you get with the Armytek Wizard Pro V2. The lamp is mounted here in headlamp mode. There's also a clip in the back to attach the lamp to gear. The matching charging station for the battery is included in the pouch.
Even we see the light. The headband is solid, with the strap over the head to prevent slipping. The lamp lies across the forehead, the light above the left eye. Hands are free for work. The lamp itself is not a "lightsaber" that cuts through the night with a narrow beam, but emits a flat, powerful light that illuminates up to 70 meters in the highest mode. Almost unbelievable when you look at the size of the lamp.
If you don't want to wear the lamp as a beam in front of your forehead, you can simply and quickly detach it from the rubber harness. Just slide it down. It sits tightly, but comes off easily, even with the battery compartment cap attached.
Here's a close-up image of the mount without the lamp, instead we've passed our finger through it.
The secret of this light monster is the lens in the head, which fans and amplifies the Cree LED. Or in simpler terms: from subtle, barely visible lights to the searchlight mode, it's all in there. Here are the corresponding lumens and runtimes:
The body of the lamp is hand-width and extremely comfortable to hold, the coating feels as if the lamp were rubberized. LED light and electronics are located in the head. The entire body is made of metal and ends in a thread with an O-ring for waterproof sealing. The battery compartment cap closes securely and firmly. No problem up to ten meters depth. The Pro versions come with a magnet in the cap, so you can easily attach the lamp to a metal surface. Very practical! It is powered by two CR123A or 18650 Li-Ion rechargeable batteries (3.7V).
You can also attach the lamp to clothing or gear. There is a small clip that can be easily and securely clipped onto the lamp body. You can see the result in the main image, where we have mounted the Armytek Wizard Pro V2 on the Noble Plate Carrier by Husar. The clip is secure and safe, but we would still recommend using a paracord lanyard if you want to roam around in the wild with your gear.
CONCLUSION: The Armytek Wizard Pro V2 is a little wonder. Easy and handy to use, you can turn night into day with it, but also use it as a regular flashlight for everyday use. It works just as well on the head as it does on tactical gear. Operation is very easy. Press the button to turn it on, then hold it down to switch between modes. There are a few special options like strobe and very light illumination, for which there are specific button combinations. Perhaps a bit of a pity that you can't switch it to red light, but that's really just nitpicking. We highly recommend this lamp: it is durable and comes at a price that is very fair for the performance and the ten-year warranty provided by the company.
You can get the Armytek Wizard Pro V2 at CAMOSTORE for Euro 109.90. The battery costs 19.90. The charger with USB is available for Euro 9.90.
The sensitive prepper took the lamp out and shone it around a lot. A good video that also gives a "moving" impression of the Armytek Wizard Pro V2.
