REVIEW: Andres Industries SAPI Plate AL03

Armor plates are designed to protect you from bullets, that much is clear, but how much can such a plate really withstand? We decided to test this out by shooting at one. In our case, we used the OPS-AL03 from Andres Industries to put it to the test. Let's go for the overkill test! Fire away!

This SAPI plate meets the US protection standard NIJ-Level IV, meaning it can protect you from full-metal jacket and hard-core long rifle ammunition, comparable to the German protection class SK4. In other words, the plate can withstand Dragunov rounds and can be used standalone, without the need for additional soft ballistic protection. Just put it on, and you're protected. In the image above, you can see the test object next to the lined-up test rounds.
