Let's continue with tactical dances. The famous question: Who has the best Tactical Jeans in the country? HERE our GEAR GUIDE. 5.11 Tactical steps into the ring with the Defender Flex Slip Jeans. The first look says it all: it is pleasantly inconspicuous, which is something we wish for in a tactical jeans.
The same impression from the back. The straight cut adds to the fact that the ladies looking at your buttocks don't see much of it. The real trick, however, is concealed by the loosely hanging polo shirt.
The Defender Flex has two concealed slots on the right and left, intended for holding magazines. For those who want it less militant in terms of use: phones fit in there too.
And you can also rely on the normal back pockets. In case of doubt, they can also hold a magazine, but more likely your wallet.
Being tactical doesn't mean you always have to have your belt on correctly. (Sorry.) Here is the rear view. The pants have a classic straight cut, no frills.
Here is the detail with the magazine pocket and below that, the normal, patch pocket on the back. The latter sits rather low, the pants don't sit very high on the man.
The magazine pocket from the inside. Nice detail for people with a sense of style: the lining has a casual 5.11 Tactical design.
Front view: the Defender Flex comes in two variants, once in the solid blue of Indigo - this one - or as Dark Wash Indigo. If you're not into jeans: they are also available in a gray Volcanic or a brown Burnt.
The waist area sits low on the man, meaning the pants are rather hip-high - thankfully with stretchable waistband.
For the belt, we chose Tasmanian Tiger. The Stretch Belt - HERE in the SPARTANAT Review - goes great with the pants. All stretchable.
Inner life with 5.11 Tactical lining. The zipper, in red, is naturally YKK quality.
The 5.11 Tactical logo motif is present throughout. On the pants button as well as in the back of the pants with a label. And yes: Made in Cambodia.
Side view. The pants are Slimfit. We think that they are pleasantly not too "slim". They fall straight and fit well. We'll get back to flexibility...
The front pocket. Nothing special happening. Normal depth and no secrets. SPARTANAT is the online magazine for Military News, Tactical Life, Gear & Reviews.
