Same text: REVIEW: HAIX Black Eagle

Show us your shoes! Here you can see two in action that somehow look like brothers, but are actually quite different: The "Black Eagle" from Haix is available in a Tactical version (left) and as Athletic (right). SPARTANAT has tested both for you.

Here they still make a pair. But it's already clear that despite their similarities, they are very different: the athletic buddy has an upper made of textile and microfiber, while the tactical comrade has an upper made of leather.

You have to look very closely to see the differences in the lacing: the Athletic (left) has a small pocket on the tongue where the laces can be tucked away before being velcroed down when going into the field.

Athletic and Tactical compared: You can see the name of Haix as a design element. The ribs on the shoe form the letters H and X. By the way, these shoes come in three heights. Here we have the Low version. Mid would be ankle-high, High are boots respectively.

This gives you a good grip on rough terrain, the soles of the models - despite the different uppers - are identical and designed for proper use.

Athlete and Tactical in a frontal comparison. A successful pair. The idea of ​​turning the same model into sports shoes and tactical shoes for urban use has led to a good result. Both are waterproof, breathable, and impress with their high wearing comfort. The Athletic is also available in colorful under the name "Adventure."

CONCLUSION: The HAIX Black Eagle is a shoe of its time and that's a good thing. Currently, the trend is towards lighter and lighter outdoor shoes, which even give a barefoot feel. In contrast, the HAIX Black Eagle is exactly what it claims to be: a shoe. It is sturdy, waterproof, has a good grip, and is waiting to be properly put to the test in action. Because that's what it's made for, both as Athletic and Tactical.
