WARRIOR: On your knees, Russian pioneers

Russian pioneers are not recognized by the fact that they are provided with bread and water. In the picture above during the mission in Syria - note that the Ratnik equipment is worn here in "Desert Camo". You can recognize them by their knees: pioneers wear different kneepads than regular troops, perhaps because kneeling is a crucial activity for pioneers.

In this nice bag, Russian pioneers get their NKL-1 protectors. Here you can see the normal Digital Flora of the Ratnik uniform.

The set consists of two elbow and two knee protectors. It is particularly easy to recognize because the plastic hard shells over the padding look like turtles.

Since this is the same system as with protectors in the West, these soldiers are likely to have the same problem in the long run: the protectors slide down if the pants do not have a loop to pass the NKL-1 straps through.
