Poland brings the Korean Thunder

08/30/2022By Redaktion

Hanwha Defense signed a contract on August 26 for the delivery of K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzers to Poland.

The contract, worth around 2.4 billion USD, is the first phase of a framework agreement signed at the end of July, which is part of efforts to strengthen the defense capabilities of the Polish military.

Under the recent contract, Hanwha Defense will deliver a package of K9 self-propelled howitzers and 155mm artillery ammunition, as well as training and logistics support between 2022 and 2026. The order is the largest in the history of global K9 SPH exports, as since 2001, nine countries - South Korea, Turkey, Poland, India, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Australia, and Egypt - have ordered the K9. This is the new equipment for the Polish army: POLAND BECOMES COMPLETELY KOREAN
