Anyone who wants to configure a SEALs helmet cannot avoid this night vision mount. And it is significantly more expensive than its predecessor, the Norotos 3 Hole Shroud. Currently around 600 dollars will be spent on a Wilcox L2 G05. No wonder, the L2 G05 is largely made of titanium and because it is actually only seen with the SEALs, it is also produced in smaller quantities than its predecessor, which was also seen in other units.
And this is what the company says about the product: "The Wilcox L2 G05 Three-Hole MICH Helmet Mount with Integrated Breakaway Base and Universal-NVG Mount allows for mounting on a MICH Helmet drilled with the standard Three-Hole pattern. This NVG Mounting System is unique in that it provides two operating modes. The first mode allows the Rhino arm to break away from the base when a hard shock occurs. The second mode allows the Rhino Arm to securely lock on the mount."
Features:
• Breakaway Feature allows mount to separate under pressure.
• Can be used with the Wilcox NVG Lanyard (see TDS078) for secure attachment to the helmet mount base.
• Each adjustment is ergonomically positioned for easy one-hand operation while handling a weapon.
• Provides a very low profile on the helmet."
