Working in hot countries? You need your own uniforms, which are not as visible as those made for moderate climates. The new Russian Ratnik combat suit is actually issued in Digital Flora. HERE we presented on SPARTANAT the regular summer uniform and the camouflage pattern. The Russian army is also operating in arid Syria with a large contingent. The Ratnik system suddenly looks very different there.
This is how Comrade Ratnik was seen at a trade fair in Mother Russia. Left is Digital Flora, right is "Digital Desert," the combat suit for the Russian contingent in Syria. In the basic pattern, it is again a pixel camouflage, simply varied for the desert.
However, the adaptation seems to have happened gradually, as initially one could see monochrome 6sh117 combat vests.
Here is the same 6sh117 seen from the inside.
Here is the monochrome variant over a combat suit in digital beige.
Here is the view from the back. The 6sh117 system resembles American Load Bearing Vests.
Russian soldiers in Syria with a historical find: a Mosin Nagant carbine in sniper configuration.
The next step is 6sh117 in the digital camouflage pattern.
Here seen from the inside and with backpack and various pockets.
Here you can see the base vest and the modular pocket system.
The day in the vest: lots of fine print in Russian.
This is the digital camouflage suit for the Russians in Syria. The loops on the shoulder and head are intriguing, as they usually serve for attaching camouflage material. Originally meant for green terrain.
Interestingly, it is not the regular uniform, but a cut that resembles the SPOSN Partizan camouflage suit (which in turn closely resembles German uniform pieces from World War II: Waffen-SS overprint camouflage jackets). The Russian identification for this uniform is 6sh122.
Here you can see the camouflage loops well. And an integrated net that masks the face. The Russians are very practical. Normally, this is a reversible suit, so the inside is "Russian Coyote."
