P9A1 and G38 in the Bundeswehr

As reported by JPW from the Strategie & Technik Blog, the German Bundeswehr has added two new weapons to its arsenal. For the combat divers, there is the Glock 17 Gen 4 with maritime spring cup and lighter recoil spring than P9A1. The HK416 in its A5 version was designated as G38, with the variant featuring a 279mm barrel known as G38C. The official designation as G38 comes from the Procurement Office of the Bundeswehr. The G38 will then be tested by the combat divers (Naval Special Forces Command - KSM).
