Dutch MARSOF want .300blk

07/09/2015By Redaktion

As Janes reports, the Dutch maritime special forces (NL-MARSOF) have issued a tender for nearly 200 compact carbines in 300 Blackout (7.62x35mm) along with 1.82 million rounds of ammunition. In the image above, you can see the .300blk (left) next to a 5.56x45mm (right). Currently, the MARSOF use the HK416 (in 5.56x45mm), raising the interesting question of whether a .300blk version will be offered. Regardless, it is to be hoped that with this procurement, the .300blk ammunition will also become relevant for the European Proofhouse for Firearms (CIP).
