Dutch 13th Light Brigade consolidates its operational readiness

The Dutch 13th Light Brigade participates in the NATO exercise Quadriga 2024 as part of the 10th Armored Division. The highly mobile brigade practices with its main forces at the Army Combat Training Center in Germany. Afterwards, the brigade marches through Poland to Lithuania.

This week, the Dutch Army began its contribution to the NATO major exercise Quadriga 2024. For two weeks, a total of 4,500 soldiers will practice large-scale land operations. According to the commander of the 13th Light Brigade, Brigadier General Gert-Jan Kooij, the difference with usual exercises lies mainly in the higher level of the NATO exercise. "All units are very well prepared for their tasks, but now it is crucial that all these subprocesses are interconnected correctly."
