In Wiener Neustadt, the result of years of procurement is on the table. The two Task Groups of the Jagdkommando have received their latest uniforms. Predecessors were a greener and a sand-colored Digitarn (HERE previously presented on the Ministry's website), which have now been combined into a "Multicam Made in Austria". Surprisingly, this camouflages excellently and also goes well with real Multicam. The combat suit is flame-retardant and consists of mission pants and a combat shirt.
The knee and elbow pads are inserted from the inside and are made of mesh fabric, the wearer can build up modularly, depending on how much knee protection he needs. Furthermore, the pants can be "tailored" at the knees, which is also practical. For quick first aid treatment or simply to wear over ski boots, they have a zipper at the bottom.
The combat shirt has a flame-retardant fabric on the body that is thick and sweat-inducing. It also features a side-mounted zipper, which may seem questionable. A classic smock in the corresponding camouflage color was also included in the new uniform set. The new equipment is seen as a good thing by the Jagdkommando. However, the gear blessing for Austria's elite soldiers is not over yet: the Jagdkommando is currently being equipped with a slightly modified Lindnerhof Taktik Gen4 plate carrier in TAN. These are in the pipeline and feature modular backplates, similar to Crye's CAGE.
