In order to ensure the best possible initial care for wounded soldiers in case of emergency, the Procurement Office of the Bundeswehr commissioned the production and delivery of up to 120 rescue stations.
The closed contract provides for the procurement of up to 86 rescue stations in the "ballistically protected" variant and up to 34 unprotected rescue stations.
The highly mobile rescue station provides initial emergency surgical, urgent surgical, and initial internal medical care.
In order to be able to follow the fighting troops in action, the system is designed from the outset so that both the personnel and the entire equipment can be transported, set up, and operated with the least amount of transport effort within the shortest possible time - regardless of location and duration of use.
Ten protected and six unprotected rescue stations have already been ordered as a replacement for existing systems. The two variants of the rescue station differ in the protection of the emergency surgical workplace. Air conditioning units are integrated in each container to supply the system with power and heating/cooling, and a generator is integrated in the emergency surgery container. In addition to the material equipment, the commissioned service also includes instruction on the medical equipment and training on the overall system.
The delivery of the first units is already planned for December 2025.
