Senop Ltd signed a letter of intent with the Logistics Command of the Finnish Defense Forces on May 23, 2024, for the further development of new night vision devices.

The letter of intent is related to enhancing the Army's night combat capability. The goal of this research and development partnership is to enable the Finnish Defense Forces to procure domestic night vision devices that combine high performance, supply security, cost efficiency, and compatibility with existing and future systems of the Finnish Defense Forces.

The letter of intent includes the development of the following products for the Finnish Defense Forces:

– A next-generation night vision goggle based on the M20 technology, featuring improved ergonomics and a new helmet mount.

– A tactical thermal imaging monocular based on uncooled thermal camera technology, utilizing both existing and new software solutions specifically developed for the Finnish Defense Forces.

– A next-generation multi-purpose fire control system based on Smart-Sight technology for various weapon platforms such as support weapons and anti-tank weapon systems.

At a later stage, other countries will also be able to participate in the development of night vision devices.

The ability to fight day and night and under challenging conditions is a key capability on the modern battlefield.
