New at CZ: CZ 600 TRAIL

Since the 1960s, CZ – Ceska zbrojovka with headquarters in Uhersky Brod, Czech Republic, has belonged to the world elite in the segment of long guns for hunting, sports, and hobby. Many of CZ products are legendary: the ZKK 600 series, which has been replaced by the CZ 550 and CZ 557 series, as well as the lightweight centerfire rifles Hornet and Fox, followed by the popular CZ 527 series.

In the CZ 600 series, Ceska zbrojovka has implemented a completely new, modular solution with a range of original design elements using the latest manufacturing materials and technologies. And the courage to pursue a radically different concept has paid off. The result is improvements in all key areas – from reliability and durability to ergonomics and shooting comfort, safety, and precision.

So far, there are five models in the entire CZ 600 series, differing in stock designs and calibers:

The guns are designed to be modular and allow for barrel and caliber changes. Special attention has been given to the trigger group and safety. The different variants are meant to appeal to shooters in hunting, sports, and leisure activities.

Extremely appealing for our "tactical" segment: a compact bolt-action rifle with controls similar to those of modern sport rifles, available in two calibers, .223 or 7.62 x 39. The CZ 600 TRAIL offers high precision in a compact package. Both the top of the aluminum system and the forend feature long Picatinny rails. The forend has M-Lok slots, allowing for the mounting of lights, lasers, and bipods that are M-LOK compatible.

The AR-15 pistol grip is interchangeable with replaceable backstraps, fitting like the CZ P-09 pistol. The telescopic stock, with cheek rest on the left side, is adjustable in four positions. In .223 Rem. caliber, all AR-15 magazines fit. In 7.62×39 caliber, all original CZ BREN 2/CZ BREN 2 Ms polymer magazines fit. With a muzzle thread, the rifle is also prepared for mounting suppressors.

The modern 60° opening angle allows for quick and convenient bolt operation. This fast reloading is possible even with a mounted scope. The rifles are effectively protected against rust with the newly developed and highly resistant BobOx coating. The scratch-resistant and corrosion-resistant surface of the BobOx coating makes the guns even more durable.

The model in .223 Rem. caliber is compatible with AR magazines. With the newly developed direct trigger of models ALPHA, LUX, ERGO, and RANGE, four different trigger weights (600 g, 850 g, 1,100 g, 1,350 g) can be self-adjusted.
