Saturday is the "Long Night of Museums" in Austria. We have the best event of the whole night for you: The HGM - branch office in Bruckneudorf will be part of the event with the Ungerberg bunker complex. This is a military-historical treat located 30 minutes east of Vienna: The Ungerberg bunker (U3) was built in 1959/1960 as one of the first facilities of a broad blockade to secure the Austrian eastern border. This fortification line, also called the "Schleinzerwall" (after the then Minister of Defence), was completed in its basic features until 1964 and was considered a bulwark and the first line of defense in the event of attacks by the Warsaw Pact during the Cold War. About 40 crew members were equipped here, among other things, with a 10.5 cm field howitzer 18/40, a MG cupola, and an observer cupola. The bunker complex today is a unique relic that can be visited in a special atmosphere during the Long Night of Museums. And here is the program:
EXHIBITION (6:00 PM to 1:00 AM)
In the open-air area, the Pioneer tank Greif, rescue equipment, and fire trucks are presented.
NIGHTS IN THE BUNKER - THE COLD WAR IN AUSTRIA (6:00 PM to 11:00 PM)

Duration approximately 90 minutes.
