Rheinmetall will present all three vehicle variants of the Mission Master for the first time at the Canadian defense fair CANSEC 2024: the Mission Master SP, the XT, and the "youngest member" of the vehicle family, the CXT. Visitors on site will have the opportunity to discover the unique capabilities of each vehicle variant.
In addition to the unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), Rheinmetall will showcase the Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulator, which allows trade fair visitors to test the vehicles in a virtual yet realistic environment.
Rheinmetall will also present the Air Start Unit (ASU) MSU-GP 200T, the patented SolarΣShield fabric for reducing solar heat load on systems, and a tactical vehicle Polaris MRZR-D4 equipped with the PATH Autonomy-Kit (A-Kit). Additional vehicle solutions developed in collaboration with partner companies will also be on display at the outdoor stand.
Rheinmetall Mission Master Family:
The CXT is slightly smaller than the XT and features a hybrid drive system, allowing it to transport heavy loads silently. The XT is the largest Mission Master vehicle and is equipped with a diesel engine.
Rheinmetall PATH A-Kit: This world-leading AI-based navigation system is installed on all Mission Master UGVs and is agnostic, meaning it can control nearly any military and commercial vehicle. Rheinmetall demonstrates the agnostic capability of the PATH A-Kit with the Polaris MRZR-D4 lightweight tactical vehicle.
TAK Integration: Rheinmetall offers an extensive Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) integration service, including the development of custom plug-in solutions for various requirements. Visitors can test the Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) integrated into all Mission Master vehicles at the booth in the hall themselves.
MSU-GP 200T: The MSU-GP 200T is the only turbine-driven ground start unit (ASU) on the market. The device is lighter and more compact than comparable diesel-powered units. The MSU-GP has proven itself worldwide under extreme weather conditions, being both reliable and versatile. It can also be transported by air and aboard naval carriers. Visitors can explore this unique solution at the outdoor stand.
SolarΣShield: This simple and affordable solution is a patented fabric developed and tested by the Canadian agency Defence Research and Development Canada and selected for the equipment of the new Redback Infantry Fighting Vehicle of the Australian Defense Forces. It allows for a significant reduction of solar heat load on systems through natural air convection and artificial shading. SolarΣShield also enables multispectral signature management against thermal, visual, near-infrared, radar, and ultraviolet detection. Visitors can learn more about SolarΣShield technology at the Rheinmetall outdoor stand.
Project „Common Heavy Equipment Replacement“ (CHER): Rheinmetall Canada, alongside JCB and other OEMs, will advance the Canadian CHER project. As part of this initiative, the Canadian Armed Forces will be equipped with reliable and sustainable heavy equipment for the next generation of operational and effective earthmoving and cargo handling capabilities. The High Mobility Engineer Excavator from JCB will be on display at the Rheinmetall booth in the outdoor area.
Project „Domestic Arctic Mobility Enhancement“ (DAME): Rheinmetall Canada, in partnership with UTV International, is advancing the DAME project to equip the Canadian Armed Forces with a highly mobile vehicle platform. The vehicle is designed to transport sufficient personnel, equipment, and goods in various terrains and under all weather conditions required for operations in northern and Arctic Canada. The "Voyager" from UTV International will be on display at the Rheinmetall booth in the outdoor area.
Against the backdrop of Canada's increased commitment to protecting the Arctic and the growing importance of partnerships with our global allies, the Rheinmetall booth offers visitors a unique opportunity to learn about the company's comprehensive range of defense solutions. The Rheinmetall Canada team, recently awarded the "Progressive Aboriginal Relations Level 2 Committed" certificate by the Canadian Council of Aboriginal Business, looks forward to engaging with delegations from across Canada.
