IEA Mil-Optics GmbH has been a recognized supplier of high-end night vision devices for years. From mid-2022, the new Fusion Binocular Goggle (FBG) will be available as a market innovation from us!
The binocular night vision device with an integrated thermal imaging channel offers image overlay and combines the advantages of both technologies in one device.
Thanks to the two channels, three-dimensional perception is possible. The image intensifier allows the user, among other things, to freely move in the darkness and perceive their surroundings (depending on the performance of the tube and the available residual light) just as they would during the day.
With the additional thermal imaging channel, objects that stand out from the surroundings based on temperature can be perceived much earlier and without any available residual light. In poor conditions, a pure image intensifier would require an infrared illuminator to be switched on. This can easily reveal the user. This risk is minimized with fusion technology.
Thanks to the compass and GPS, the FBG enables the use of Augmented Reality (AR). This allows for an enhanced perception of reality. Furthermore, data such as text messages, positions, time, or videos can be uploaded and displayed in the device.
A picture-in-picture function allows for the display of an image captured by an external device, such as a thermal imaging target device, to be wirelessly transmitted to the night vision goggles.
The sensitive detector with a resolution of 640x512 offers very high detail and therefore increased range. With numerous modes such as Black/Hot, Target Enhancement, and Outline, the user can optimize the device for various situations. The external battery compartment provides a runtime of min. 8 hours to max. 60 hours. The weight of the night vision device (without power supply) is only 530 g. A very large exit pupil and a tube with a choice of green or black-and-white image display allow for long and comfortable use.
Depending on customer preferences, the FBG can be equipped with either Photonis 4G tubes (which keep the device ITAR-free) or US Generation 3 HIGH-FOM tubes. The assembly, as well as maintenance and repair work on the FBG, are carried out in Nagold. The IEA FBG Fusion Binocular Goggle is available starting at 15,650 euros directly from IEA MIL-OPTICS.
