LYNX BRUTALITY 2023: Weapons knowledge transfer with Martin

Martin's adventure at LYNX may be over, but now is the perfect time to talk about the equipment. What worked, what didn't. In the first part about his LYNX Loadout, Martin talks about his weapons and their accessories.

It's almost two hours long and may be daunting in length, but in the video, Martin explains in detail why he chose various accessories and attachments. He also casually explains some basic functions of an AR or gives tips on how to check if the weapon is optimally adjusted. A real treat, as we Austrians would say.

In the video itself, Martin also talks about issues with QD Sling Swivels. Since we are mentioned, we would like to briefly address it.

The issue mentioned is that the QD Push Button sometimes unintentionally releases. In the image on the left is the Magpul QD Sling Swivel (old version), on the right a QD Sling Swivel by Ferro Concepts. We use the one from Ferro Concepts for two reasons. Firstly, the shape ensures that the sling is held more centrally and secondly, the major difference: the QD button is more recessed. Unlike the old Magpul version, you really have to press directly into the center and release tension to open it. It's a bit harder and more cumbersome with gloves, but it's safer from accidental opening.

Here in the image is a newer version of the QD Sling Swivel from Magpul. There are also variations from other manufacturers, some protrude more, some less. QD Sling Mounts have disadvantages, such as accidental opening. The advantage, on the other hand, is that they can be quickly removed or switched. Training and competitions test your equipment and let you know if your setup works the way you envision it.
