Reading material: The Armor Journal 1/2014

06/23/2014By Redaktion

The new "Armor Journal" confesses that it is a magazine for the "rivet counters." This is the kind of people who are so intensely interested in armored vehicles that they notice every screw. This is particularly important for those who build historical tanks in model form with exactness. Despite this self-declaration, "tAJ" comes across very unpretentiously and in a mix of historical material, articles for model builders, and exciting modern military history: the 1/35 IDF Sherman, for example, is being built. A visit to a modern "tank factory" that restores historical vehicles is made; glimpses through a photo collection from World War II, a "walkaround" around a Hungarian Turan II in the Russian collection in Kubinka takes place and much more - The most enjoyable thing: the "Armor Journal" in its first issue can be downloaded for free HERE.
