KSK trains Ukrainians with HAENEL MK556

The Ukrainians are here and the KSK is allowed to operate in one of its core areas: "Military Assistance." One of the military support missions is the training of soldiers from friendly nations.

It is clear that weapons are needed. However, it is surprising that the failed new assault rifle of the Bundeswehr, the MK556 by HAENEL DEFENCE, is chosen. In the pictures of the Bundeswehr and also in the video, you can see the MK556 by HAENEL DEFENCE. So, there is a reunion with the MK556 by HAENEL. Also included is the STEINER MPS red dot sight on the latest ERATAC Ultra Slim Lever Mount (USL) and mounted on the rail is INFORCE WML weapon light, along with magazines from OBERLAND ARMS. A thrilling and pragmatic configuration.

Initial speculations in the scene were that the Bundeswehr was reusing their test weapons from the tender. However, this is probably not the case: the color of the weapon does not match the original test models, and the handguard is a modern M-LOK version, which was not part of the test at that time.

So, it may be a new, freshly procured batch that might be going to the Ukrainian special forces being trained here? Also, a joke in the history of this weapon, which was supposed to be the new assault rifle of the Bundeswehr but was legally challenged: "Not good enough for the Bundeswehr, but good enough for Ukrainian special forces..."
