The CZ Configurator allows anyone to customize their dream weapon online. It has just been launched for Austria.

CZ, as the manufacturer, offers a special interactive website where users can customize a firearm according to their own ideas and needs. The shooter can choose the color of the grip, the type of sights, an optional red dot, size and color of all controls, magazine capacity, and much more.

After placing an order through the Configurator, the firearm created by the customer will be built in Germany by CZ experts. The finished weapon can then be picked up in person at a local CZ dealer. During the personal handover of the pistol or rifle, all legal requirements for a normal firearm purchase are observed and followed.

Which weapons can I customize? What can I improve on them?

In Austria, it is currently possible to customize the sport pistol CZ Shadow 2 and pistols from the CZ P-10 series - from Full-Size to Semi-Compact, Compact, and Subcompact. More models will follow in the near future.

Although the customization options are different and also depend on the model, they are generally very similar in the countries where the service is offered. Slight differences in options arise from specific laws or regulations of different countries that must be complied with.

How much does a custom-configured pistol cost?

The base price corresponds to the retail price of a standard model. The total cost of a customized firearm then depends on the components and accessories you choose. The online tool also advises the buyer on the selection of certain parts or accessories, and the price that will be added to the base price of the weapon with each selection made. Therefore, during the configuration process, you are always properly informed about how the total price is developing.

What about the warranty for a custom-configured weapon?

The individually created pistol - including all components and accessories - is covered by the same warranty as a CZ firearm purchased normally, which is two years. This is a significant advantage for the customer. In comparison, if you buy a weapon individually, then attach components/accessories yourself and damage your weapon through improper handling, the user cannot claim a warranty. To ensure that the warranty remains valid, it is always recommended to have all additional parts installed properly by a gunsmith. Or you can use the configurator to customize your weapon. Even after clicking "Order", you can always purchase an extended warranty or a five-year prepaid service for your new firearm.

How is the payment made?

Payment is made in two steps. First, a deposit is made to confirm the order. Then work on your firearm begins. The amount of the deposit is indicated in the order confirmation. It is possible to pay online with a card or by bank transfer. The second step is the payment of the remaining amount, which is made only when picking up the fully customized firearm from the Austrian arms dealer in person.

What if I do not want to order the customized firearm immediately?

You can save your configuration and have the data sent to you by email. You can then return to the CZ Configurator at any time, continue with the configuration, make changes, or order your new weapon for production. You can even share images of your desired firearm via a link or through social networks with friends. Photos of the freshly configured firearm can be saved in PNG format on your own computer.

How does a gift account work?

The CZ Configurator enables family and friends to give you a gift. Everyone can contribute to the firearm you want to have built as a gift. All you need to do is set up a gift account with a click and then inform your circle by sharing the link. You do not have to pay anything to set up such an account. Once you have accumulated at least one-third of the amount for the desired dream weapon in the gift account, you can order and have it produced.
