IWA goes SHOT Show 2024

09/11/2023By Redaktion

The future of the German joint stand at the international trade fair for shooting sports, hunting, outdoor leisure, and firearms manufacturing industry SHOT Show in Las Vegas, America, is secure. After the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action withdrew its funding for the joint stand, NürnbergMesse GmbH will take over the sole execution of the "IWA Pavilion" for the coming year. "We, as IWA OutdoorClassics, stand behind our market and our exhibitors," emphasizes Rebecca Renn, event manager of IWA OutdoorClassics. "We are pleased to continue to offer our customers such an opportunity and to present the brand of the IWA OutdoorClassics so strongly at the SHOT Show," Renn continues. The joint stand "Young Innovators" at the IWA OutdoorClassics 2024 is also affected by changes.

For many years, NürnbergMesse GmbH has organized the subsidized joint stand for German companies at the international trade fair SHOT Show in Las Vegas on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. Next year, NürnbergMesse GmbH will continue the execution and distribution of the space independently and without state funding. This is due to strategic decisions of the Federal Ministry in the foreign trade fair program, which exclude further funding of the joint stand at the SHOT Show for the year 2024. "Firstly, we would like to thank both the Federal Ministry and all other partners and sponsors for the long and successful cooperation," begins Rebecca Renn, event manager of IWA OutdoorClassics, her statement. "As a trade fair company, our customers and their needs always come first," Renn continues, "we stand behind our market and our customers as IWA OutdoorClassics." Regarding the decision to conduct the Pavilion independently next year, Renn says that she is "particularly pleased to be able to continue offering exhibitors such an opportunity and thus be perceived as a connected partner in the industry." Continuing as IWA Pavilion is also a "sign of the good relationship between the trade fairs," according to Renn.

Exhibitors are pleased with the engagement of IWA OutdoorClassics

Recently, exhibitors have the opportunity to register their participation in the IWA Pavilion at the SHOT Show 2024. Among the confirmations are exhibitors from previous years - including the company Schmidt & Bender GmbH & Co. KG - as well as new companies that can benefit from the offering of IWA OutdoorClassics. "The IWA Pavilion at the SHOT Show is a great project and has several advantages for us," explains Moritz Rainer, COO of FBT Fine Ballistic Tools GmbH. "We are very pleased that IWA OutdoorClassics provides us with such an opportunity to participate in international industry events like the SHOT Show in Las Vegas and thus fulfills its role as a driver of our economic sector," Rainer continues. The company is also the first non-German company on the IWA Pavilion, which is opening internationally under its new name. The registration deadline for exhibitors ends in September. Interested exhibitors should contact the organization team of IWA OutdoorClassics directly. All contact information can be found at: www.iwa.info/de/aussteller/kontakt

Joint stand "Young Innovators" also affected by decision

The joint stand "Young Innovators" is also affected by the current changes by the Federal Ministry. There will be no state-funded joint stand for German start-ups at the IWA OutdoorClassics 2024. "We regret the decision regarding the funding of a German joint stand at the IWA OutdoorClassics 2024 very much," explains Renn. "But with the expansion of the Newcomer Area, we are also creating a strong alternative on our own and thus supporting young innovative companies at the IWA OutdoorClassics 2024," Renn comments further.
