We already informed you in advance about the innovations from SIMGUN. At the IWA we experienced them up close.
Their new gas and electric powered training gun, the TW M4 - HERE is the flyer -, is more than just an improved airsoft gun. In the front area, there is a piston in which a small amount of gas is ignited. This creates a loud bang that is very similar to a gunshot.
The same principle also exists on a larger scale. This allows for simulating artillery impacts or machine gun fires. The huge advantage is that it is only loud. No hazardous materials, no pyrotechnics, and nothing flying through the air that could pose a danger. Therefore, there is actually no significant safety distance to observe. Just don't forget to wear ear protection.
Here is the detonator for the "bomb," as the large noise simulator is also called. In order to avoid mass deafness, we were not allowed to ignite it (unfortunately) in the exhibition hall, but hopefully, there will soon be an explosion for testing purposes.
Experiencing more with Simgun also means: more "pain." In addition to the pain vest, there is now also the option to simulate a noticeable hit display with adhesive pads. The intensity of the pain can be adjusted by yourself.
As shown in the featured image, the sensor vest is now also split into individual parts. This is really beneficial for freedom of movement. The only disadvantage is that now you need more batteries, but overall they need to be changed less frequently. All in all, SIMGUN is developing into an extremely professional combat simulator that outperforms other providers.
