An app for all those who are somehow involved in shooting sports?
HIGH READY has made the attempt and should not be missing on any of your smartphones. What can the app do and what does it offer to the user, we wanted to know from the providers.
SPARTANAT: HIGH READY, your app has already been launched in Germany. What can it do?
HIGH READY: As you say, the launch in Austria took place on September 7, 2023, and in Germany on February 22, 2024. Two important days for us. We are excited about what's to come and are confident that we have an answer to many questions in the industry with the app.
The question "What can the app do?" can be summarized as follows:
The focus is on
safe gun handling.
The content of the comprehensive course area is aimed at hunters, sports shooters, tactical shooters, as well as enthusiastic gun owners. The content is conveyed through methodically structured short videos. The correct and safe handling of handguns and long guns is the main focus. Of course, we have also created additional content in collaboration with experts - these include: First aid at the shooting range, gun knowledge and gun handling, guidelines, cleaning, tuning, and much more. We are starting with over 300 videos. That is the first core.
What other core features does your HIGH READY App offer?
The second core is the Map area. It is currently filled with numerous gun stores, shooting ranges, service providers, and shooting training facilities. Detailed information is provided for each one, allowing every shooter to search for gun brands, various services, shooting opportunities, etc.
The third core is the digital shooting book. We have managed to implement the "High Ready Buddy" in most commercial shooting ranges in Austria. This works through NFC technology chip, on which the geographical data of the shooting range is stored. This will allow training to be quickly saved in the future and recorded with the number of rounds fired.
The fourth core is the Showroom. Various guns and optics can be studied in detail here. User manuals have been filmed and thus prepared efficiently for every need.
These are four really exciting core elements. Does the HIGH READY App offer any more features?
Additional features complete the creative and innovative content of the app:

- A reward system, the so-called Bullet System, for completed content in the app.

With the current features, we cover a part of the extensive and diverse need for information. This means that we continuously work on the app's development and thus offer new content and extensions on an ongoing basis. HIGH READY will therefore continuously and consistently grow and provide added value for all shooters.
What team is behind the project, what is your goal?
Our team consists of specialists who, due to their military, police, as well as civilian and hunting backgrounds, have relevant expertise. This allows us to cover different areas of shooting sports - hunting, sports, and tactics - as well as comprehensive content.
The HIGH READY team stands for change, future, and sustainability and aims to improve the safe handling of firearms, create a lasting sense of security, and build palpable trust in society.
This is achieved by having the app serve as a solution to improve the level of performance and thus form a unity of shooter and gun, where safety and gun no longer contradict each other.
As shooters find it increasingly difficult to present themselves on social media. How much freedom will HIGH READY offer here?
That's why we are currently working on our Community section in the form of a forum. A community is not built overnight, so we want to gradually build up the forum. The goal is to offer the space for exchange, just like on all common social media platforms, and to present oneself as desired. This freedom is what we aim to offer to every user in the future.
Even outside of the Community section, we create freedom. With HIGH READY, we provide the shooting industry with the digital space for development.
There are also training videos for shooters. Can you learn shooting through video?Let's make one thing clear from the start: We do not want to replace shooting training at the range, but rather complement it.
We understand that due to time constraints or financial situations, it is often not possible to attend a course. Therefore, we offer an alternative before not addressing the issue at all.
Videos have an indispensable effect: whether for dry training at home, on the go, or at the shooting range, the video material can be played independently, repeated unlimitedly, and studied in detail. This way, the content is deeply imprinted in the memory and becomes second nature. It starts with proper storage, proper cleaning, guideline-compliant behavior at the shooting range, and safe use of the weapon. Owning a weapon does not only mean shooting, but requires a full package.
And we are also taking a new approach to the duration of the videos. We limit the length of each clip to seconds to a few minutes. This requires a focus on relevant content and concentration on essential elements. On the other hand, the user's attention is ensured throughout the entire length. Effectiveness and efficiency are therefore guaranteed.
Also important is the dealer area, what can be found at HIGH READY?
The app covers the entire industry. From the gun shop, shooting range, shooting instructors to very specific services. All of this can be found in the map area and customized to individual needs. This area is constantly expanding. In Germany, we are still in the early stages. But the growth is enormous!
For example: Do you want to buy a gun from the brands Schmeisser or Steyr or acquire a Black Trident Holster? Then you will find what you're looking for with the brand-specific search.
We are setting new standards and showing that the possibilities of the industry are unlimited. The app connects manufacturers, dealers, instructors, and service providers with the user. A neutral platform where everyone is welcome.

The HIGH READY app is available for download on both the App Store and Google Play Store.
Of course, we have thought a lot about the price, as we want to reach all shooters with our app.
The app download is free, so every user has access to a variety of features. For the use of specific, clearly defined areas (especially the course area), a fee of €9.90 per month or €79.90 per year is required. This gives you access to one of the largest pools of expert knowledge from all areas of the industry.
