Say it slowly: TVWG HVERDAG, grey. Well, the "grey" part worked quite well. "TVWG" simply stands for "Til Valhall Warrior Gear". And "Hverdag"? Probably "Good morning" in Danish - or maybe not. However, the HVERDAG was designed as an EDC (Every Day Carry) knife. The wonderful little spike is crafted by the Black Forest knife forge FORGE WORKS, which stands out for its tasteful knives.
Here are all the quick stats on the knife:
Steel: SB1 - NIOLOX steel - 62 HRC, hardness according to Rockwell C scale
Handle material: contoured G10
Overall length: 14.0 cm
Blade length: 4.0 cm
Blade thickness: 4.0 mm
Handle length: 10.0 cm
Weight: 100 g
Kydex sheath: Black
The knife can be carried concealed or open. The Kydex sheath is also included with the knife.
The texture of the handle and spine provides a lot of grip on the knife, even under difficult conditions. The handle is made of G10, a very durable and lightweight composite material made of glass fibers and epoxy resin. G10 is very resistant and strong.
The knife is made of high-quality SB1 / NIOLOX steel (1.4153.03 - special alloy with niobium addition). SB1 steel is known for its high corrosion resistance and durability with high hardness, toughness, and flexibility. The knife finish is an "Acid Stonewash".
The steel is very easy to care for and resistant, but also easy to sharpen. NIOLOX is food-safe, rustproof, very sharp and wear-resistant.
The entire knife was made by hand in southern Germany.
Special information for our German friends: The size allows the knife to be carried even under the stricter conditions of §42a WaffG. Paragraph 6 of §42 explicitly states that knives "with a fixed or lockable blade with a blade length of over four centimeters" are prohibited in certain areas ("weapon ban zones").
By the way: "Hverdag" is actually Danish and means "weekday".
