Ranger or rigger bands are a very useful tool when it comes to securely attaching hydration tubes, cables, or antennas to your gear. They can also be used to secure tourniquets or grenades. On the one hand, these "rubber rings" can be purchased (such as HERE at Clawgear) - or you can make them yourself.
How? It's quite simple, you only need a pair of scissors - preferably sharp - and an old or (if you prefer) a new bicycle inner tube.
After some cutting, you should have plenty of small, black rubber bands. The advantage is that you can determine the width of the bands individually. Happy crafting and be careful not to get hurt!
