EODH SA offers in collaboration with KMW and DUMA a retrofit package for Greek Leopard 1A5 tanks.
The retrofit is based on the findings from the current Russian invasion in Ukraine. The tank is to receive a light Active Protection System (ERA), louver armor around the engine compartment, and the ability to install a "Cope-Cage" on the turret. The proposal also includes replacing the engine with a new 1000-horsepower engine (21.7 hp per ton at a combat weight of 46 tonnes) and reinforced suspension. In addition, the turret will house a Remote Weapon Station (RWS) with a heavy machine gun integrated into the commander's independent panoramic sight. The RWS can also be equipped with a Counter-Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS) jammer.
It is proposed to increase the tank's firepower by allowing the launch of Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM) and Loitering Munition from the main gun and/or by installing an ATGM launcher.
Furthermore, the overall ergonomics and situational awareness inside the tank are to be improved by installing new electronics, wiring, a new Fire Control System (FCS), a Gun Control System (GCS), and a new C5I system.
