The Viper is the largest custom gun project to date by the Swabians of German GunWorks (GGW), but they certainly didn't skimp on it.Behind this venomous name lies nothing less than a HAENEL RS9 in .338 LM, which has been elevated to its zenith by the custom gun manufacturer with a lot of work and high-quality parts.
As with previous projects from the house, many major manufacturers are participating in this prestigious endeavor. Haenel from Suhl provides the excellent base weapon RS9 in .338 LM, Steiner the new G29 scope in the BW delivery variant with laser protection filter and many extras - HERE is the SPARTANAT report on it - Spuhr the forward-looking block mount with 20MOA inclination and many attachment options, Cruxord the new sniper tripod, and Cerakote Deutschland (PBN) the base coating of the rifle. Not to mention, many other companies are involved in the project, such as Aimpoint, Harris, Bushnell, Sniper Tools, and MD-Textil.
German GunWorks has managed to bring all these companies together in one project and thereby generate a rifle of superlative quality with thoughtfully chosen components. As the Viper is seen here, it has already undergone many hours of work, as for the priming, the mountain Swabians had to disassemble all parts and accessories of the rifle down to the smallest screw and paint them all individually with Cerakote (PBN).
Now GGW has assembled the G29 for the first time and placed it in its photo studio to provide a glimpse of the end product. Though only lightly assembled so far, it is still an impressive sniper system, and we are curious to see how it will look in its future camouflage. In the coming days, the Viper will be partially disassembled again to prepare for the final painting stage. From now on, the visual future lies only in the airbrush-leading hands of the boys and girls in Meßstetten.Information about the planned camouflage pattern has not yet been revealed, but based on the engraved parts like the grip, cheek rest, and handguard, a direction can be inferred. The total value of the system is expected to significantly exceed the €20,000.00 mark. This shakes up our overall image of the Swabians a bit... We are excited to see the final result!
