FN Elity: New laser target assistance for snipers

FN Herstal introduces the newly developed version of its powerful weapon-mounted ballistic calculator for snipers, marksmen, and spotters. Operational feedback from around the world was collected on the previous model last year, leading to improvements in ergonomics and user-friendliness. The new version of the laser targeting aid is now released under a brand-new name: FN Elity™. The FN Elity™ Weapon Mounted Ballistic Calculator can be mounted on team or sniper team weapons of any caliber as well as scopes.

The FN Elity™ is an all-in-one system equipped with the following features as standard:

- a laser rangefinder capable of measuring a human-sized target at distances of up to 1,750m
- visible and infrared laser pointers
- an infrared illuminator with variable light intensity and adjustable beam cone
- a ballistic solver developed by ApexO (AFS®) that provides real-time shot corrections and goes beyond the classic G1, G7 drag coefficients to calculate projectile trajectory
- embedded sensors (e.g. temperature, pressure, humidity, elevation angle) that provide necessary data for fine-tuning shot corrections based on the environment
- an Android app based on the well-known AFS® software from ApexO and configures all parameters of the ballistic solver via Bluetooth to enhance user-friendliness
