ENFORCE TAC 24: The new Federal Army backpack

03/01/2024By Redaktion

The best things are usually found at trade fairs by chance, like the backpack in the picture. The camouflage pattern clearly identifies it as a genuine Austrian. But what's the story behind it?

It's the first of its kind. At the booth of KAMOTEXTIL, we spotted it, the new backpack of the Austrian Armed Forces (ÖBH). Here still as a prototype, but already in limited numbers being tested by the troops.

A sturdy 50-liter backpack with a detachable lid that can be packed up to 70 liters, thanks to a high collar. MOLLE/PALS has already made its way into the Austrian Armed Forces, which we are very pleased about.

Thanks to a long front zipper, you can access the contents easily without having to unpack everything. A safety feature using webbing and G-Hook prevents the zipper from bursting if the backpack is packed too tightly.

On the sides, you will find an elastic compartment and straps to attach tripods or skis. A daisy chain provides additional attachment points. The backpack will undergo some further changes in detail after testing, but this will be the basic shape. We are excited to see when the final backpacks will be issued to the troops.
