ENFORCE TAC 22: Fresh Schuberth

02/22/2022By Redaktion

A modern cross-sectional combat helmet with high wearing comfort and ballistic protection, which can be threat-appropriately scaled and expanded through its modularity, that is the approach of the new B.Ko.S. concept that SCHUBERTH will present at ENFORCE TAC 2022. An innovative rail system with open system architecture allows the integration of a variety of devices, some of which are not yet in stock, and enables the helmet to be upgraded and expanded in performance according to the mission. The design of the interior also requires new paths. These include a wide range of sizes, coverage of a variety of head shapes, and the use of a combined hearing protection/communication solution with a capsule hearing protection in a way that ensures occupational safety requirements and the soldier's communication ability are guaranteed trouble-free over a long period of time.

"For decades, SCHUBERTH has been the reliable partner of the Bundeswehr for head protection solutions, but the Swiss Armed Forces still trust a ballistic helmet from our company," says Milad Youkhanna, Head of the Business Unit Military and Law Enforcement, about the positioning of the B.Ko.S. concept: "In addition to a powerful product, efficient lifecycle management with high maintenance capabilities is part of our entrepreneur's sustainable offering. The B.Ko.S. concept consistently follows this philosophy and sets standards in terms of modularity, comfort, and integration capability - without compromising on protection."

Unique in the industry is the B.Ko.S Rail System with integrated SCHUBERTH Universalclip. This can easily be adapted to a variety of slots provided in all three rails and in the shroud. This allows individual cable routing to be adjusted to reliably supply energy to future systems and their respective consumers. But the use with helmet straps or artificial camouflage elements is also an option. In the future, connections demanded by the user can be quickly and cost-effectively realized via the Universalclip within the framework of open system architecture. In addition to the side rails, the B.Ko.S concept has a rear rail. With this, for example, battery packs can be accommodated to increase supply security while ensuring optimal balance of the helmet on the head.

The B.Ko.S. concept focuses on wearing comfort as a significant contribution to broad user acceptance, associated wearing satisfaction, and the protection directly resulting from it. Last but not least, an above-average share of identical parts across all sizes and optimized maintainability ensure low life cycle costs and reduced logistical effort.

When SCHUBERTH rethinks helmets, CEO Christoph Klotzbach knows: "Innovation and technology, as well as the advantages from the user's perspective, are always clearly in our focus. This is appreciated by the current Formula 1 World Champion as well as by our motorcycle customers. But know-how from the areas of police, fire brigade, and occupational safety also flow as synergies into every new generation of helmets." This holistic approach was also pursued with the B.Ko.S concept, according to Klotzbach: "As a result, we are very proud to present another high-tech product in the year of our hundredth anniversary, which sets diverse impulses and significantly differentiates us from the market."

At the ENFORCE TAC 2022 trade show in Nuremberg (Booth 12 279), SCHUBERTH will present the concept of the ballistic head protection system B.Ko.S. to the trade audience for the first time from March 1, 2022, to March 2, 2022.
