ENFORCE TAC 2023: The truly light machine gun

Machine gunners play a crucial role. And that's heavy enough. FN really surprises there, because when you first grab the EVOLYS, the first thought is simply "Wow".

It's light. That helps in shooting while moving, the weight is 5.5 kilograms for the 5.56mm variant. Everything on the weapon is optimized for lightness, including the carbonoid bipod.

Side tray for belt feed. This allows for a continuous rail on top of the weapon for mounting optics that do not need to be removed.

The EVOLYS is available – like the proven M249 – in two calibers, 5.56 and 7.62. In the USA, they have also seen 6.5 Creedmore in the special forces area.
