Hexonia will exhibit at Enforce Tac and IWA 2017 this year. In the business year 2016, Hexonia GmbH was able to further expand its position as a system supplier for comprehensive clothing and protection systems. In the area of ballistic shields, significantly lighter solutions were developed and already delivered in significant quantities to authorities. Hexonia offers the complete range of classic protection classes (VPAM3, VPAM6, and VPAM9). Production at the Nettetal (NRW) location has been extensively modernized and expanded with the aim of creating protection systems from a single source. A special solution is the VPAM 6 protection shield, tested according to TR Ballistic Protection Equipment 07/2011. By using the latest ballistic materials and techniques, a total weight of approximately 8 kg was achieved. This provides reliable protection against bullets from the AK47, especially in terrorist situations. During the ballistic testing at temperatures of -20°C to 70°C, a total of 10 shots were fired per shield, including edge shots, angle shots, and shots on handle fixing points. The functional design was created based on the requirements of users from various special units. The shield can be modularly equipped with cameras and lights. The ballistic additional protection plate BEAST for Ops-Core helmets (bulletproof according to VPAM APR 2006, test level 6) attracted international interest. This allows the wearer to quickly adjust the protective value of his helmet to current threats. BEAST is made of high-strength polyethylene and weighs approximately 500 grams. The additional protection plate is available in various sizes.
