Elbit Systems are pleased to announce that they have received a contract in the USA worth approximately 41 million US dollars for the delivery of SBNVG night vision systems and various replacement components to the USMC. This contract is just a part of a five-year contract totaling 249 million US dollars for Squad Binocular Night Vision Goggles Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). Under this contract, the US Marine Corps will be supplied with Squad Binocular Night Vision Goggle (SBNVG) systems, which consist of high-performance night vision devices with white phosphor tubes, modular uncooled thermal sensors, and common external power supplies, providing Marines with improved operational performance for night missions. These will replace the old AN/PVS-14. HERE is a test report from the Marines in 2020.
