Since the amendment of the German Weapons Act, the discussion about section 42a, which regulates the carrying of knives in public, has become part of everyday life in the knife industry. In particular, one-handed opening and lockable folding knives are the focus of the law.
POHL FORCE tackles this issue and has developed the new Mike Fortytwo based on the popular Mike series, which completely dispenses with one-handed opening and a blade locking mechanism. The blade is only held in the open position by a slipjoint spring, as found in classic gentleman's pocket knives from the early 20th century.
Knife designer Dietmar Pohl deliberately combines technical old school elements with modern forms and materials in the Mike Fortytwo. For the first time, the new Nitro-B steel is used in the Mike Fortytwo. A high-alloy chrome steel with a high nitrogen content, which is characterized by special hardness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. The handle scales made of G-10 or titanium adopt the innovative structure of the new FORCE ONE series and fit comfortably and securely in the hand. The ambidextrous pocket clip and tungsten carbide glass breaker enhance the functionality of the Mike Fortytwo. The stonewashed surfaces of all metal parts provide a distinctive look. The Mike Fortytwo is available in four attractive versions starting at 199 euros HERE.
