A piece of history, newly forged - the Herring Dagger

01/11/2021By Redaktion

Extrema Ratio revive a well-known dagger, the Fairbairn-Sykes or British Commando Dagger. It was first introduced during the Second World War for the British commandos. It is called "Herring" because the last combat parachute jump by paratroopers in this war was the "Operation Herring." Extrema Ratio present a dagger with history, made using the most modern methods.

The unique handcrafted finish of the handle imitates the aging of brass and gives the combat knife an aged appearance, similar to the original.

The dagger was developed in collaboration with the 185. RRAO and accepted as the official commemorative dagger for the 20th anniversary of the regiment's formation and 75 years of Operation Herring.

The dagger is available in two versions: the Herring version with a double-edged sharp blade and the Herring NE (no edge) with a blunt blade.

The dagger is delivered in a case, along with a leather/Kydex sheath and two scrolls for remembrance. Available HERE for 558 euros.
