Wishing helps as we all know, and the Norwegians are wishing for new tanks. The new Viking warships are to be chosen from two candidates: the German Leopard 2 - most likely a standard 2A7V - and the Korean K2 Black Panther. Both big cats, so to speak, are meant to replace the 52 old Leopard 2 A4 tanks that Norway purchased from the Netherlands in 2001.
One of the two candidates is shown in the image above, the South Korean one - likely delivered as a test vehicle by the manufacturer Hyundai for the procurement. What is interesting about this K2 Black Panther is not only the Norwegian camouflage pattern, but also the planned active protection measures. However, the mounted Trophy System is likely just a dummy. More information on the Hyundai K2 Black Eagle.
