The company Elbit Systems has received an order worth around 55 million euros for the delivery of PULS rocket artillery systems to the Bundeswehr. The order will be processed between the Dutch, Israeli, and German governments.
According to the contract, Elbit Systems, in cooperation with KNDS Deutschland, will deliver both the rocket artillery systems and the necessary adjustments, integrate the German C4I equipment - such as command and control systems and weapon control systems - and ensure in-service support during usage. Before deployment in the Bundeswehr, the systems will be tested by the Federal Office for equipment, information technology, and usage of the Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) and other technical testing authorities to obtain the necessary approvals.
Yehuda (Udi) Vered, General Manager of Elbit Systems Land, commented on the order receipt: "We are proud to have been awarded the contract for the delivery of the rocket artillery system, together with KNDS Deutschland, which is intended to form the basis for the future long-range indirect fire system of the Bundeswehr. This order paves the way for future orders of the EuroPULS configuration and highlights the strength of our European cooperation with KNDS Deutschland. It reflects our shared commitment to deliver advanced, field-proven, flexible, and cost-effective solutions that enhance the operational capabilities of our customers.
Ralf Ketzel, CEO of KNDS Deutschland, added: "The cooperation between Elbit Systems and KNDS Deutschland is a milestone in the development of a European rocket artillery system. Elbit's technology meets KNDS's European system expertise. As an OEM for European land systems such as Leopard 2 and PzH 2000, KNDS will ensure that the PULS system becomes the EuroPULS system. The joint venture EuroPULS is the right approach to cooperate as equal partners."
The EuroPULS rocket artillery system, manufactured and marketed in Europe through a collaboration between Elbit Systems and KNDS Deutschland, is characterized by an open system architecture and adaptive design that allows the integration of the launching module into a variety of platforms. In addition, it supports the use of foreign ammunition, minimizing dependence on individual manufacturers and ensuring resilience in ammunition procurement.
