Highend-Gear: The ZODIAC by THRUDARK

The clothing manufacturer THRUDARK from the UK may not be familiar to some. They mainly produce jackets for those who need to be outdoors, no matter the weather, and were founded by former British Special Forces veterans. We've heard that they don't fall short in terms of quality and innovation compared to Arc'teryx. One jacket that caught our attention is the SF ZODIAC Jacket from them.

To quote THRUDARK directly: "The Zodiac Jacket combines the protection of a hardshell jacket with the flexibility of a softshell jacket designed to withstand changing weather conditions." They achieve this through a very interesting mix of materials.

The shoulders and hood are made of a waterproof laminate. The rest of the jacket is made of a water-repellent stretch material.

We also find the Cohæsive System used in the hood very interesting. With it, the cord stoppers are integrated into the fabric, minimizing the possibility of snagging.

The SF ZODIAC Jacket is also lightweight, weighing just under 700g in size Large. For those interested in this jacket, we have good news, all sizes should be available again by the end of this month. The SF ZODIAC is available directly from THRUDARK for 345 pounds (around 377 euros).
