John McPhee, better known as "Sheriff of Baghdad" or "Shrek", aims to share his years of experience in Room Clearing and Entry with not only soldiers, but also with patrol officers and SWAT officers through his new company SOB Tactical. In this video, he explains this using simple comparisons between military and police special units.
Mr. McPhee can look back on over a decade of almost continuous deployments in Bosnia, Afghanistan, and particularly in Iraq with the Tier 1 special unit of the US Army. He reportedly joined this unit because he needed a job that required minimal math skills.
Shrek is also a passionate amateur Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighter and a certified personal protection specialist. In his video, he also explains the benefits of the smartphone app Coach's Eye for improving individual skills in handling firearms. An excellent idea in our opinion. Also noteworthy is his SOB Sling, a two-point sling that operates on the exact opposite principle of the VTAC and VCAS Sling.
