Interviews
Niklas Voß in interview:

What to expect at the PPF Games

03/31/2025

Niklas leads the German training company PPF GERMANY and they organize the PPF GAMES 2025 in Slovakia: think CROSSFIT meets shooting with live ammunition. But all safe and well organized, of course. The challenging events of PPF GAMES 2025 will be even tougher and better than previous events and will take place on May 24th & 25th at the Zohor Shooting Range near Bratislava - about 1 hour from Vienna.

We wanted to know from Niklas and he kindly agreed to an interview.

SPARTANAT: The next PPF Games are coming. Why should one participate?

Niklas Voß: The PPF Games are not just a competition - they are a challenge, an experience, and a unique opportunity to compete with like-minded people. This is about more than just shooting. It's about strength, endurance, and mental toughness over an extended period and across multiple stations. If you want to face a real challenge where both physical and mental limits are tested, this is the right place. In addition, there is a great supporting program, e.g. competition supply by Go Primel, who equip the participants with supplements.

How large is the participant field? Does the average shooter even stand a chance next to all the tough guys & girls from the pro league?

The PPF Games attract a wide range of participants - from competition shooters to ambitious beginners. The competition is designed so that not only strength and precision count, but also brains and adaptability. Anyone willing to push their limits has a chance here. The PPF Games are not just for professionals, everyone who wants to can prove themselves. An "average shooter" with ambition and determination can also do well at the PPF Games. From the current entries, I also know that the participant field is really diverse. So, everyone will have a good chance - especially since it lasts for two days, and the cards are always reshuffled.

"The competition is designed so that not only strength and precision count, but also brains and adaptability."

Being there is everything, that's nice. But what is there to win?

In addition to a trophy and glory, there are of course attractive prizes. There are material prizes such as optics from Kahles as well as vouchers from Steinadler and others. In total, worth over 3000 euros. In addition, each participant, regardless of placement, also receives a goodie bag.

Why in Zohor in Slovakia?

Zohor offers optimal conditions for a competition of this kind. The infrastructure of the site is excellent and allows us to create a challenging, varied, and realistic scenario. In addition, Zohor is close to Austria, so participants from Vienna are only an hour away. The last two times we were somewhere else, so we also wanted to offer a new location anyway.

Your advice for everyone who wants to participate?

Prepare well - and not just on the shooting range. The PPF Games require more than just accuracy. Conditioning, mental strength, and thinking are just as important. Train diversely, work on your endurance, and take the event as a holistic challenge. And above all: Have fun! The PPF Games are a unique experience, so enjoy every second - even when it gets tough.
