Conflicts

That's why you wear protective gear.

These are pictures that KÄGWERKS has released, they show a US PJ (Pararescue Jumper) who was brought back to the USA injured from a battle in Afghanistan. As you can see from the blood on the Crye CPC (above), things were apparently very close.
"My protective equipment worked," he says. "It's not just heavy and hot, like I thought all these years. My helmet, the goggles, the plate carrier. Thanks to them, many splinters were stopped after just a few millimeters. Thank goodness."

You can see how intense it was by looking at the rail of his M4, which is massively deformed by a splinter.

The helmet also took a beating, as did the goggles.

The splinters in the skin are healing. But the goggles, they have preserved this PJ's eyesight. Protective equipment saves lives.

Enemy from the left. You can clearly see where the threat came from. The PJ can probably celebrate his second birthday.
