BOOKS & MORE: Cooking without electricity

Good times, bad times. It can happen anytime. What to do when after a disaster, the electricity for cooking goes out, fresh food is not available, depleted, or spoiled? Disaster relief workers know: preparation is the best prevention! That is why the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance, as well as important relief organizations, have launched a major recipe competition.

The goal was to collect creative and crisis-resistant dishes: preparation should also be possible in the event of a prolonged power outage, simultaneous water supply failure, and fresh food no longer being available. The best 50 recipes were selected from over 500 submissions and compiled in this book along with many important tips and information from experts for citizens. A book that should not be missing in any household! Always remember: the next disaster is sure to come. Hopefully not on the plate.
